Hi all !

I would like to know what for you means Volvo car? Is it question of patriotism (like some fools in czech like shitty german car skoda calling it "czech" :???: ) ? Or just combination of safety, power and hidden luxury. Quite a "gentlemans" opposite to BMW and Mercedes cars? And how it is with the rivalty between Saab and Volvo users? Is it true that : "Volvo is a Saab for poor?" :lol:

And final question, is the Saab 9000 faster than Volvo 850 T5 ? 8)

Sorry for asking so much, but just swedish volvofans could give me proper, respectful answer ! :D

yes there is some patriotism i would say, volvo is kind of like the proudness of sweden. A globally used car developed in our little 9 million people country! and of course volvo is good cars! and that saying, you have spelled it wrong; Saab is a Volvo for poor ;)

And is there any difference between "ordinary" Saab and Volvo driver? I mean in mentality and driving style 8)

And of course Volvo´s are amazing cars, but now somewhat "spoiled" with ford influence....:(

Ok, let us put it this way...in us in the middle of the 80´s a guy gets threated and saves himself telling something like:
"please don't kill me, i drive a Volvo -a beige one!"
What would that say about this guy? Boring son of a bith that is afraid of everything and just want a car because it's safe?

Today Volvo is making out of the brand, It's more about a lifestyle to "think outside the box". I think they live the brand.

About patriotism, maybe the Saab is owners are more independent and likes to be different, but the Volvo owners are a team themselves. We don't need to show off, we already know how it is.
For me, the difference between Volvo and Saab is sipmple.
Volvo is a car :D

i agree. damn ford! :evil: the old volvos was (is) so genuine and so good, quality alltrough! but almost everyday i hear about some newer volvo with electrical problems etc...

That´s what is local Volvo dealer owner talking :lol:
He is still thinking about his old 850 as about "true volvo", now he has S60 and he don´t seem to be satisfied. :)
But still they are excellent cars, but nowadays maybe somewhat small - why Volvo doesn´t made something wich can be opposite to S-klasse Mercedes or 7-er BMW :lol:

The new S80 is pretty, but interieur is somewhat small - to the car of this class :(
