Hello,
my name is Michael and I´m from germany.
I´m serching for a solution to lower my v90.
Here in germany it´s impossible to find some components to lower this rare volvo :(
maybe you in sweden know how to get this job done and have some tipps for me.
would be grat to find something what is height adjustable ;)
or even somebody who has experience with air ride on a v90 :D

Thanks for the quick answer,

I didn't know that it's possible to replace nivomats with normal shock absorbers
how strong are these normal shock absorbers?
Because 80% of time I drive with 3 persons and a lot baggage.

I'm afraid of nearly hit the ground with the back of the car if there is baggage and 4 persons because this look's so horrible
if you know what I mean.

anybody here who has an idea where to get something high adjustable for a v90?

The text on that site says (Google translate),

Road maintenance kit for 960 / S / V90 model year 1995-1998. Fits cars with multilink (shared rear axle), composite leaf spring and nivomat back.
Lowers approximately 40-50mm giving spindle dimensions (center wheel to the edge of the screen)
Until about 320mm
The back is approximately 310mm
The kit includes:
Gas absorbers forward
Lower springs front
Gas absorbers rear replacing nivomat (can also be purchased to solve this:VO960101)

I don't Think they wrote that way if it don't fit. Otherwise you maybe you could use this,

as a help for the original plate spring. That shall be mounted on the shock absorbers

after a lot of research I found another set for a v90
high adjustable shockabsorvers for the back

it's only for the rear side of the car but finding somthing high adjustable for the front schouldn't be as difficult? ...I hope :D
any ideas about the front ?

What I read, the price (11100 sek) is for pair, rear and front. Total 22200 sek. They wrote under More info,

GAZ adjustable front shocks are included, even Coilovern rear is adjustable.
Our own infinitely adjustable Camber plates in aluminum are included.
12-9 steel screws included in the kit.
Lowering Ability forward approximately 85mm and 125mm rear

There is two images, one for front suspension, and one for the rear.

seems like i overread this part of the website :mrgreen:

i will contact them and ask for some more detail
because here in germany it isn't as easy to drive a good looking car
all pieces have to be exactly registered for being allowed to drive around. (without getting problems with the police )

also seems to get a really expensive project :mrgreen: :roll:

Removing the Nivomats (rear suspension) will not make much difference on an empty car; the spring (composite transversal leaf spring) will keep the rear end at normal level. The action of the Nivomats is not really appreciable unless the car has been loaded, they will raise the rear end to normal height after a kilometre or two of normal driving. An unladen car is kept at normal level by the spring itself. Lowering the car means removing the Nivomats and replacing the spring (with a "weaker" model), which is something I would not recommend, as it really destroys the suspension and thus the riding comfort. But of course it is your car, you do what you want with it.
