Hey!

Could someone please explain the issue and the solution in English? It seems similar with my case.

My case:

I have an anomaly with my V50 2.0D without DPF

When I start the engine there are no issues, when the engine is cold - no issues and also during driving no issues, but

when I go for shopping or something like that and return about 30min to an hour later, this happens:

There is no correct throttle response - rev will not go more than 1000 rpm and it's basically impossible to drive - it stalls. After a while the issue resolves by itself and everything returns to normal.

I have tried cleaning my throttle body but the lower torx screw is badly worn and I am not able to release it - I am working on it. I still managed to clean it a bit without removing the throttle body.

Thank you!

Sounds like problem with EGR valve.

Does rpm increase if you pump the thrust pedal many times ?

Does engine feel weak when you release the clutch ? If you have both these problems it is most likely EGR valve. Early models before 2007 had EGR with control engine that was to weak. After 2007 a modified model was fitted on new vehicles and replaced FoC under exhaust warranty on older vehicles when problems occured. I have 2006 model 2.0D and my EGR was replaced with the modified version, no problems since swap.

Here´s how to video
Try to fit a blanking plate on the EGR pipe joint , you can make on yourself , or buy here http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-EGR-Valve-Bl ... 1185208427

If problems disappear with blanking plate fitted the problem is with the EGR valve.

The RPM-s stay around 1000-1100 RPM, when I try to set off by releasing the clutch , it will stall. I will have to really work with the clutch to keep it running. It's a 2004 2.0D, I will try blanking the EGR to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks for the info!

Now, I removed my EGR, it was a struggle, one of the bolts on the tube was heavily damaged. The EGR was really dirty and the valve tended to stuck into open position. I cleaned the EGR and hopefully it solved my issue.

Additionally I changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and pollen filter (PITA - who tought it would be a good idea to position the filter back there?) and also the air filter, which looked almost like new (probably the last owner changed it recently). Also I replaced the struts on the trunk, now I don't have worry about it hitting my head.
