Tänker ta och spola lådan på en V70 awd -01 gått ca 31000mil har köpt Mobil 3309 olja tror jag den hette köpte 20 liter (borde räcka fick kanon pris på oljan 61:-/l jämfört med volvo 170:-/l).Men till frågan då man spolar lådan med motorn igång ska man samtidigt lägga i olika växlar eller ska den vara på P-läge hela tiden.

Gearbox fluid, replacing
Warning! Avoid skin contact with the gearbox fluid.
Note! Use only gearbox oil, Volvo P/N 116 1540-8 (1 litre container), 116 1640-6 (4 litre container).

Conditions
The oil should be replaced only in the two following instances:
Where diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) TCM 0042 and TCM 0046 are stored, in which case the diagnostic function activates the warning lamp in the following circumstances.
The gearbox control module (TCM) receives data about the operating temperature of the gearbox fluid while the car is being driven. TCM 0042 is stored after an accumulated amount of time.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM 0046 is stored if the gearbox fluid temperature exceeds 150° C for more than two minutes.
In cars used in continuous taxi service or used for towing a trailer or caravan for most of its mileage, the oil must be replaced at a service interval of 75, 000 km ± 5000 km. This is to conform to the regular service program.
Warning! The oil may be very hot if the car has just been driven. Avoid skin contact.


Draining
Remove:
-the splash guard under the engine
-the oil plug. Drain the gearbox oil.


Installing the oil plug
Use a new gasket.
Tighten the plug. Tighten to 40 Nm.
Install the protective cover.


Draining oil
Remove the return hose on the control system cover.
Install a plastic plug in the connection on the cover.
Detach the return hose in the cooler. Align the hose upwards and reconnect it to the cooler.
Install a transparent plastic hose on the oil return hose connection.
Place a container beneath the hose to catch the oil.


Refilling
Apply the handbrake. Move the gear selector lever to position P.
Fill with approximately 2 litres of oil.
Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle.
Turn the engine off when air bubbles start to become visible in the hose.
Fill with approximately 2 litres of oil.
Start the engine again and let it idle.
Turn the engine off when air bubbles start to become visible in the hose.
Remove the hose from the oil cooler hose. Detach it from the connection to the cooler. Install the hose in the normal position on the cooler and the gearbox.


Further filling
Fill with approximately 2 litres of oil.
Apply the handbrake.
Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle. Move the gear selector through all the gear positions. Wait 4–5 seconds in each gear.


Checking the oil level

The capacity of the gearbox is 7.1± 0.25 litres. (MAX, MIN).
Note! After replacing the gearbox oil, the “Gearbox oil change” counter must be reset. See Resetting Gearbox fluid change counter ..

i det stora hela har det inte så stor betydelse. men du får inte bort gammal olja från vissa kanaler om du inte lägger i växlarna manuelt.
o andra sidan så är det så lite olja i kanalen, så den byts ju nästa gång du kör med bilen.
o det blir ju ändå kvar olja i de kanaler du inte kan torrköra när bilen står still

Procedur till Saab 9-5 (samma automatlåda som i V70)
Töm ur oljan ur lådan genom avtappningspluggen. Fyll på med samma mängd ny olja. Starta bilen och låt den stå på tomgång någon minut. Växla igenom alla växlarna. Stäng av motorn.
Skruva av oljereturen och starta motorn. Tappa ur 3l och häll i 3l. Starta bilen och kör igenom växlarna. Gör om detta moment igen och fyll på. Det underlättar om man är två och om man har ett litermått i plast. Detta har jag gjort på min V70 och det blev en klar förbättring. Se till att byta oljan var 8000:e mil så håller du din låda fräsch.

Det är ingen fara att göra det då med tanke att bilen gått snart 32000 mil + att oljan ser ut som utspädd coca cola.

Nja tänkte mera på att byta olja i automaten om det är någon fara med det med tanke på att den har gått så pass långt som 32000 mil utan byte.Hörde på volvo att dom inte rekomenderade det för det fanns risk att lådan slutar att funka kan det stämma.Hade tydligen hänt på en bil som dom bytte olja på.

Hej! Hade en 745 med automat. Pratade med en firma som bara jobbar med automatlådor. När han fick se min olja (Coca-cola också) så sa han att jag INTE skulle byta olja på lådan för då kunde jag få ett haveri som ett brev på posten. Men peppar,peppar min låda gick 53000 mil perfekt (AW 71) -)

Jag tycker dock att det är konstigt att Volvo inte har rek oljebyte på automaten men Saab har det (är samma låda). Du gör som du vill men jag skulle tveklöst byta oljan.
