and sorry about the english, again..

I've been wondering what is the difference between D4 AWD that has been Polestar updated and D5 AWD (XC70 MY13).

I thought that software is the only difference, and that D4 would be "same" car with D5 once it has been upgraded, but then I noticed that D5 weights 12 kg more.

Would anyone know what is the physical difference between these cars?

No difference in the engines more than the software according to specification.

Can weight difference being different equipment?

The weights (1922 / 1936, so actually 14 kg difference instead on 12 kg) are from volvocars.com, where you can compare technic details of cars with different engines. Having weights/information of cars with different equipment/accessory levels would not make any sense, at least not to me, if the whole point is to make you able to compare them to each other.

Question solved.. kind of.

It seems that Finnish version of that page lists information of D4 AWD manual and D5 AWD automatic. That is kind of.. well, not intelligent so to speak, because D4 AWD manual is not even sold in Finland.

When I checked out /se version of the page I could select do I want to see information for automatic or for manual for both of those cars, D4/D5 AWD. When I selected D5 AWD automatic and D4 AWD automatic I got 1936 for D5 and 1937 for D4. Only 1 kg difference, but now I am, of course, wondering what causes that 8)
