Hi,

According to the owners' manual, when you drive the car in Manual mode then:

Geartronic automatically shifts down if the
driver allows the speed to decrease lower
than a level suitable for the selected gear, in
order to avoid jerking and stalling.

In my car Geartronic functions as described in the owners' manual sometimes and sometimes it does not.
Sometimes when i reduce speed then the gear shifts down from 4th to 3rd to 2nd to 1st.
Sometimes i drive at for example 3rd gear and stop the car, but the gearbox does not change to 1st gear (keeps displaying "3")

This is obviously a malfunction.

Has anybody experienced the same ?
How can it be fixed ?

Welcome to the world of shift quality :)

Its not a malfunction, it depends how you drove the car before coming to complete stop. Let's say you have selected third gear for pleasant city crusing, driving with variuos speed then you will find the gearbox in third even after a complete stop, this is normal.
Using GT mode and shiftin manualy, 1,2,3 then complete stop and the GT will select first at a complete stop.
