Hi!
I just got back from a trip to Gothenburg. A salesperson at one of the dealers said he'd attended a presentation of the facelifted S40/V50 just a few days ago. He informed me briefly about the exterior and interior changes:
Exterior:
- Front changed to look more like S80 and the new V70.
- Rear lamps are changed.
- Bottom part of the sides and bumpers are painted all the way down.
Interior:
- Bigger storage space in front doors.
- Center console extends to the armrest between the front seats.
- Ventilation houses are changed. Just the ribs move when adjusting airflow, and not the whole house as before. This means that it's similar to the ventilation houses of the current V70. This gives it a more premium finish, he said.
The salesperson said he thought it was a very successful facelift, but what else could he say...?
I also read in the norwegian auto magazine "Motor" that the facelifted S40/V50 will get DSG gearboxes. Can anyone confirm this, and for which engines will DSG be an option?
Anyway, I think this sounds very promising - I'm really looking forward to the facelift.
Best regards,
ArveA
