Hello,
Maybe you can help me finding a solution.
The remote control isn't working any more.
I think it's the control unit (Volvo number 9128928) but where is it located?
any other tips or experience with this problem ?

here a picture of the zapper (I think it's still working because there is the "peeep" sound every time you push the button)
because there were two different models of zappers for 960 850 ... (i' m not sure :D)

Have you tried to reprogram the remote? :)
I don't know the exact procedure right now, but it involves turning on the ignition five (?) times, wait for a flashing alarm LED, and then press the lock/unlock button on each remote to pair them with the alarm module.

Reprogramming doesn't work
I have tried it even with other zappers at my Volvo shop (they had old zappers like mine laying around)
the batteries in it are new an good quality because I know this could be reason too.

The alarm relay is easy to find just remove driver side footwell and there it is in the center console.

The 9128928 is just a remote central locking and is not compatible wiht your remotes.
Thats the central locking relay the one next to it is the one i talk about with markings of C210 and F211 and i should be a black one, if there is a alarm in your car.
This is the one you are looking for your remotes

I bought already such a relais 210 211 but it was orange.



After changing this one it was possible to program the remotes but it worked really bad.
Sometimes it worked but after three weeks it was dead again.


I got a secound v90 at home for spending parts to mine and I think there is the black relai in it.
I have to look tomorrow.

the orange one is in my car and it doesn't work
the secound one is the black.

is it possible to exchange these two ?




is there any other possibility to get the remote control work again ?
maybe a add-on kit from the aftermarked ?
here in germany it's difficult to get something with a explanation for this car.
