RTI navigation problem

I write in english because my swedish insn't good

I have problems with rti in my new buyed Volvo V70 model 2003. ( reg. 10/2002). I will like to update the map , but get the message ...can't read the dvd please contact your dealer. I have read a lot about the problems in this forum, but what is the best solutions ??
Is it to fix the DVD reader in my car ?? (i mean to fix the reader inside the dvd mascine )Can i update the map afterwards without update the car a the local volvo dealer . Or should i buy a new dvd reader at the local volvo dealer ?? (mayby the expensive way to fix the problems).
I have try to clean the dvd reader, but i it still don't work. So do you experts have any good idea ... It is ok if your answer in swedish ...
